ABOUT
Meet Our Trainer
Kerstin is the owner and lead trainer at Pack with Purpose K9. She has trained hundreds of dogs since 2020, has owned dogs for over 25 years, and has always been a passionate animal lover. Kerstin holds a degree in Natural Resource Management with a focus on Fish and Wildlife Conservation and has dedicated many years to studying and protecting wildlife in the Pacific Northwest.
In 2018, Kerstin founded a 501(c)(3) non-profit dog rescue. Through her work in rescue, she observed that many dogs lacked proper training, and that training both dogs and their owners significantly increased the likelihood of successful long-term placements. This insight motivated Kerstin to deepen her understanding of dog behavior and psychology, allowing her to better support the dogs she rescued.
Kerstin has studied under world-renowned dog trainers, continuously evolving as a lifelong learner in the field. Since 2018, she has successfully rescued and rehomed hundreds of dogs. In 2020, she began incorporating more specialized training protocols for their rescue dogs, further refining her approach. Transitioning to full-time dog training in 2025, her mission is to share her extensive experience and insight—empowering and inspiring dog owners to build stronger relationships with their dogs, focusing on the needs of dog and owner.
Kerstin shares her home with seven dogs and two cats. A passionate outdoorswoman, she delights in hiking and exploring the picturesque forests of Oregon, always accompanied by her off-leash trained dogs. In addition to her love for outdoor adventures, Kerstin is committed to her dogs' development, regularly engaging in activities such as agility, advanced obedience, canine conditioning, and proprioception training.
